Ghent University has made the Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) RSpace available for all researchers since 2024.
This ELN software is an online tool that allows researchers and students to effectively document their research progress, and it constitutes a digital transformation, by replacing the paper lab notebooks.
In March 2026, it is time to take stock and to review the usage of the ELN:
- Why is it important to use an ELN?
- What is RSpace?
- How can I use the software?
- How are other groups using the ELN?
Laura Standaert, data steward for life sciences and medicine will set the stage, after which we will open the floor to research groups already using the ELN.
No prior knowledge required. Come and learn about the ELN or join the discussion if you have already started using RSpace. (RSpace info page at UGent: https://researchtips.ugent.be/en/tips/00002245/)
