- the launch of the 2026 Call for Expressions of Interest of the JRC Collaborative Doctoral Partnerships (CDP),
- in the afternoon of 23 June 2026
- at the Fondation Universitaire in Brussels
At the launch event, the Joint Research Centre of the Commission (JRC) will present the call and engage in an exchange on research collaborations and partnership opportunities for higher education institutions and universities.
Aim
- to showcase the JRC Collaborative Doctoral Partnerships
- highlight opportunities for collaboration between the JRC and universities.
Focus
- presentation of the forthcoming 2026 CDP Call for new partnerships, including its thematic priorities, eligibility criteria, and application process.
- provide a space for exchange on the evolving landscape of higher education in Europe.
- the role of doctoral research within science-for-policy
- collaborative approaches to designing, hosting, and supervising doctoral projects, as well as the opportunities and challenges these partnerships present for universities, doctoral candidates, and policy-oriented research.
