[EU] EU4Health 2025 calls out

EU4Health Programme

The EU4Health Programme is the European Union's response to the current public health emergency and will make a significant contribution to the post-COVID-19 recovery. With the calls, the programme is aiming to (i) improve public health in the Union, (ii) protect people from cross-border health threats, (iii) improve access to medicinal products & medical devices, (iv) strengthen the national health systems and (v) provide the financial support to implement the initiatives of Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan that are important to mitigate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on cancer control and care.

Four call topics have been launched to support the development of innovative medical countermeasures for chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear threats (HERA)

Call specifics

• Co-financing will be needed, since grants paid by the Union shall not exceed 60 % of eligible costs for an action unless in cases of exceptional utility, where the contribution by the Union may be up to 80 %.
• Overhead costs is restricted to 7%  of the eligible direct costs, therefore the application needs to be checked by the central EU-team in order to get an exemption from the Overhead rules.

• There is a specific proposal template for this programme (70 pg limit) that is available on the Funding and Tenders portal of de European Commission.
