AXA XL Valuing Nature Award

The upcoming AXA XL Valuing Nature Award in partnership with the AXA Research Fund aims to recognize and support innovative, transdisciplinary research that emphasizes the value of nature and its ecosystem services.

You are invited to participate in the nomination phase by recommending up to two outstanding researchers who align with the themes of this award. Eligible candidates should be between 5 and 10 years post-PhD and demonstrate exceptional research achievements.

These are the main focus areas for the award:

• Measuring and quantifying the financial value of preserving or restoring ecosystem services.
• Identifying climate change adaptation and mitigation opportunities through nature preservation.
• Empowering local communities by incorporating Indigenous knowledge in nature conservation.
• Evaluating the benefits of restoring degraded ecosystems and their resilience to climate change.
• Developing future ecosystem change scenarios and assessing their impacts on businesses and communities.

Tuesday, April 1st at 16:00 CET

Guidelines

1. Each nominator can recommend up to two eligible researchers.
2. Self-nominations and nominations of family members or close collaborators are not permitted.
3. Researchers already supported by the AXA Research Fund or AXA entities cannot be nominated.
4. The maximum amount is 50.000 €
